Travels and Decorations

Guess where I was on Thanksgiving?

If you guessed Narnia, Hogwarts, Neverland, or a Jane Austen novel... you'd be close!

I took my second trip to London to visit my dear friend, Julie and spend some time reading English menus.

We were able to find our hotel quickly and it was in this nice, quiet neighborhood:
Then, we headed out on the town to see some famous, must-see, London sights.
Like... Platform 9 3/4!
I also enjoyed feasting my eyes on all of the colourful, beautiful buildings that Western Europe has to offer.

Later that evening, we paid a visit to the Queen.... or at least her home.

We also got to see this view of the London Eye over a lake.

After that we had a fun trip of park strolling, Wicked-watching, sight-seeing, and relaxing.

Reading Harry Potter in London? Don't mind if I do.

This picture has a story, of course. Julie and I were in this park, taking pictures of the lovely scene, and a couple came by and offered to take a picture of both of us. We got together, and the man holding my camera let us know that he was a photography teacher. He then proceeded to pose us in better light, tell me to put my bag down, etc, until we go the "perfect" shot.

This is pretty much my favourite place in London! Peter Pan is my all time favourite book. I'm hoping one day I can find the entrance to Neverland here.

Here I am at the same place three years ago. It's always interesting to go back to a place and meditate on how you've changed since you've last been there. So much has happened in my life in the past three years! Including, but not limited to, my understanding of boots.

To top it off, London was decked out for Christmas!

And, our apartment is too, now.

Christmas is, in fact, the hap-happiest season of all!
I'm looking forward to some more decorating this week.

  1. A photography teacher would have known how to get his shadow out of the shot... ;-)
